Information about Chemsex

Chemsex is a word invented by gay men for use on networking, dating apps, and adopted by the gay men’s health sector. There are specific behaviours associated with specific recreational drugs and in this case associated with a high-risk population, within the gay community. Though the media focus may have inaccurately suggested the definition to include any drugs in a sexual context by any population to be CHEMSEX, this is not the case.
